Who we are

Our Assignment

Our vision, mission, and core values

Vision – “Transformed people, transforming a region”

Shore Vineyard is an ever-expanding community of people who, knowing they are loved and accepted by God, have become world changers in their everyday lives through their identity in Christ Jesus and their access to His love and power.

Mission – “The Jersey Shore, on fire for God”

Our job is to see the entire region and neighborhoods of the Jersey Shore following God. This will be accomplished by:

  • Passionate prayer and worship, through the Shore House of Prayer, operating night and day, involving many churches, fueling and covering all that we do in the region, and all that God shows us, both near and far
  • Compassionate outreach, through the Shore Hope Center, involving local businesses and government, meeting needs through neighborhood events and ongoing programs of addiction recovery, feeding, clothing, counseling, healing, and housing
  • Evangelistic penetration, through everyday contacts in our jobs and lives, public worship, treasure hunts, street ministry, and home-to-home visitation
  • Expansive discipleship, through neighborhood bible-studies, youth programs, training programs for marriages and families, school programs, training in worship arts
  • World changing missions, through planting powerful kingdom-minded churches, equipping and sending out prayer warriors, training other regions and nations
  • Core Values – “Honoring God, honoring one another”

There are many values that guide us but some are more important than others:

  • Every person is valuable to God and to us, and in fact we would like to touch those considered untouchable and reach those considered unreachable
  • Loving relationships are more important than helpful programs and good theology
  • Our words and actions begin and end with prayer, so we are guided by God’s living relational word to us
  • The Word of God is our guidebook and our daily bread - we use it to help ourselves and others and to fight against evil and sin, but not to judge and control
  • It is not nearly as important to get the world focused on the church, as it is for the church through us to reach the world in every facet of our everyday life
